The KDC270/280 Protective Boot is a silicone casing that adds extra shock-absorption for any drops (in addition to the KDC270/280 scanners' impressive 5-foot drop spec). The KDC270/280 Protective Boot tightly covers the back, top, bottom, and sides of the KDC with the a lip adding shock absorption to the front of the device yet also leaving the 3-keys and display available for use and verification.
